Update - I got most of your blog addresses back by getting a few, then copying the rest from your lists. I'm still missing some though so check for your name and leave me your address if you don't see it. Thanks ya'll!

I screwed up.

When I uploaded this new background it erased my blog list! I wonder about myself sometimes (and it's starting to be more frequent). Would you please leave me your blog address so I can continue to stalk you? Or if I didn't have your address before would you still leave it so I can start?

Hey, if your reading my blog than I wanna be reading yours!!!

MR. FIX-IT

I think it must be in their DNA. Tyler is mesmerized by any move Brandt makes if he's holding a tool. Nothing holds his attention more. The other night Brandt had the kitchen table turned upside down and was reinforcing the top with some brackets. It had become a little wobbly due to a child who won't stay off the top...need I mention who? Anyways, Ty sat on the kitchen floor and just watched him for about 10 minutes until Dad presented him with a tool of his own. Then he got right to work helping Dad by tapping on the various screws all over the bottom of the table. I love it, and I think Daddy loves it even more.

"Let's Wrestle!"

This has become a common activity at our home. Even after FHE when it's some one's turn to pick the game it's always "Let's wrestle!". I love the look they try to put on their faces...tough guys (gals). It cracks me up. Dad uses it as an excuse to tackle Mom but it turns out he's the one that's the most ticklish so it's easy to escape. I've taught Riley my best moves and now she can get her Dad pretty good. Tyler likes to climb on top of the piles and feel like he's conquered all. Then after about 10 minutes someone gets hurt but it's always fun while it lasts. :)

No that's not a bloody mouth, Ty was attached to this empty ring pop.

Riley said I was interrupting their game. Don't you love the look she gave me. Little bugger. ;)

Piano Recital

I just wanted to give a shout-out to my piano students. We held our 2010 winter piano recital a couple weeks ago and they were GREAT! I was especially proud of my own 2 piano students. Riley and Sam are both so shy when it comes to crowds but they were champs!

I challenged my students to memorize their songs (with a little incentive) and they all decided to take it on. Also, I had them compose a song of their own and I think the hardest part for some of them was coming up with a name. We had some interesting ones like "Evil Ducks", "Nerf Wars", and "Green Bees at War". I love it! I've been teaching piano for the last 7 years and this has become one of my favorite things to do. They compose a song for the recital and then for the next few weeks I teach them how to put it on paper. Then they go home with their own official song. I love to see the sense of accomplishment they feel and also to make piano more personal to them. Anyways, I guess I'm just feeling a little sentimental so I had to share.
